Dans son travail Rodrigo cherche à redéfinir les technologies numériques - telles que le web, la réalité augmentée, les systèmes de données, la modélisation 3D et la biométrie - comme des outils permettant d’explorer des espaces matériellement et temporairement restreints, permettant des espaces de représentation alternatifs capables d’échapper à la logique et aux structures occidentales. Il considère l’émancipation de la technologie comme un véritable acte de résistance décolonisatrice.

À une époque où les conflits internationaux concernant la répartition de pièces archéologiques volées abondent, Rodrigo référence deux artefacts volés et remet en question les mythes nationaux créés par les États modernes et les valeurs conflictuelles que ces objets prennent dans ces histoires. La technologie utilisée dans l’exposition présente deux autres mondes.

In his work Rodrigo seeks to redefine digital technologies - such as the web, augmented reality, data systems, 3D modelling and biometrics - as tools for exploring materially and temporarily restricted spaces, enabling alternative spaces of representation capable of escaping Western logic and structures. He sees the emancipation of technology as a genuine act of decolonising resistance.

At a time when international disputes regarding the repartition of stolen archeological pieces abound, Rodrigo references two stolen artefacts and questions the national myths created by modern states and the conflicting values these objects take within these stories. Technology used in the exhibition presents twin propositions: its use as a weapon of power and a tool to imagine other worlds.
